A mesmerising trip to three of northern Italy's most iconic cities, with optional gondola ride and wine tasting experience - includes flights and intercity train travel

Your picturesque Italian city-hop starts in a slow tempo in canal-laced Venice. At Hotel Giorgione, Murano glass lamps and antique furniture set the tone for this elegant residence. Renowned as the City of Canals, you can choose to include the optional excursion here and head out on a gondola to explore Venice from the water, passing under small bridges as you make your way through the shimmering reflections of this unique floating city.

You’ll then take to Italy’s railroads and glide into dreamy Florence, to settle into the well-located San Gallo Palace. If you opt to add on the excursion, you can head out on a glorious wine tasting tour, taking you first to the heart of the Chianti Classico countryside to an old winery (with castle, no less) that also produces silky quality olive oil. You'll sample four distinct wines here, while walking through the ancient wine cellars and tasting local produce.

You'll then board a train for Milan, one of the most fashionable cities in the world. A paradise for shoppers and foodies alike, make the most of Milan’s many delights with a stay at the ultra-convenient Doria Grand Hotel, whose Caffè Doria Jazz Club is located on the doorstep of Milan’s best upscale shopping streets. In between spots of retail therapy, don't forget to visit the grand Gothic cathedral – the Duomo – which lies at the geographical heart of this one-time Imperial Roman capital.

Location
In a central and peaceful location in Venice, in the Cannaregio district (called by this name from Canal Regio that connects the Canal Grande to the Laguna), heart of authentic Venice, the Hotel Giorgione is close to Rialto and to Cà d’Oro and extremely close to piazza San Marco.
From the hotel you can reach the Ponte di Rialto in only 5 minutes, the lively commercial heart of Venice, with typical gold-making and souvenir shops under the arches. The colorful fruit and vegetable markets are held at the foot of the bridge along with fish shops.
Piazza San Marco is only a 10 minute pleasant walk along narrow streets and small squares, filled with shops and boutiques for both elegant and typical shopping. The heart of faith and once the heart of power of the Serenissima (the old Republic of Venice), piazza San Marco has always given great emotions. The Basilica of San Marco, framed by arcades of the Procuratoria and the Basin of San Marco, wonderful fifth perspective between Palazzo Ducale (Doges’ Palace) and Libreria Marciana (Marciana Library), is a sight to behold.

Room Type Standard Twin/Double
The splendid rooms with a terrace at the Hotel Giorgione in Venice offer guests elegant accommodations in Venetian style, equipped with all modern amenities, just a short walk from the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s Square.
The Hotel Giorgione is a hotel located in the historic center featuring elegant rooms with a view of Venice, decorated with fine fabrics and refined furnishings.
Some rooms feature a turret – a typical Venetian terrace – or small private balcony with a view, while others face onto the hotel’s interior garden.
Each room is different from the others, thanks to original furnishings that provide the hotel with an original decor and historic details.

Viva did all good and managed to get my friend join us. I would have given 5*stars but some how they forgot our Bernina train tickets. We had to remind them then we got the tickets just in time.
Also, the transfer from Milan airport to the hotel was not included & we were not told how far it was and how much it will cost. We had a shock we had to pay almost €100 in the taxi.
The highlight of the trip was snow train The Bernina Express, the journey was four hours but we enjoyed for only two hours as the next two hrs couldnt see anything outside as it drew evening darkness. It would have been nice if the travel in this train wouldve been in the morning Chur to Tirano.

Product : Great value. No complaints. Hotel in Venice didn’t have a bar but plenty within a short walk.

NIAGARA FALLS & NEW YORK BREAK

Service rating : They need to review the hotels that they send people to as the Wyndham NY hotel must be the worst hotel that I have had the misfortune to stay in (see full review on trip advisor under CliffB08
Product : Niagara Sheraton on the falls hotel great position with great views. Wyndham NYC hotel great position but badly in need of a face lift and staff rude and abrasive and the smallest room that I've ever been given.
