I also can not tell you enough how helpful Ginette was, We had a problem with flights and she called me back and sorted the issues out straight away, The high service she gave our family was 5 star, she is a asset to you. The hotel was lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was lovely and the choose was great. It is refreshing to know that hotels on line are as good as they say. we would like to book with you again for Christmas and i have spoken to Ginette about this. However, the flight with Monarch was one of the worst I have ever had to go on. It was extremely cramped, if I was in a position to ever need to perform a brace position whilst travelling with Monarch – I would fail! My nose would be resting on the top of the seat in front. If I was 6ft 6 I could understand this but I’m 5ft 11. When we arrived we were quickly met by our representative from Longwood and it was a short transfer to the hotel. However when we arrived my girlfriends baggage was missing from the top of the bus. We were assured it would be found and wasn’t an issue. I checked in and opted for the upgrade to the new part of the hotel. Once we were taken to our room our lost bag turned up 20 mins later so nothing really to complain about there. The hotel was excellent, very clean, friendly staff and the food was fine. The facilities were also great and were exactly as we expected from looking at the hotel online. On the first day of the holiday we met the female Longwood rep who was English and had been in Egypt for the last few years and knew it well. She was very informative and helpful and gave lots of great advice on the things we could do. What was disappointing was that we tried to book an excursion through Longwood on the third day and the local male rep couldn’t provide the excursion we wanted which I believe was a Bedouin night with meal and belly dancing and a camel ride. He did try and sell us a similar experience without the belly dancing and wanted to charge more than originally quoted by our rep on the first day. Then he got on the phone and said we could go along to the Star gazing night but would have to stay in the tent whilst everyone else watched the stars and he could maybe arrange for a belly dancer. Anyway it all got a bit farcical (and to be honest I found it quite funny) so I decided to skip any excursions. For the trip back I paid the £80 to upgrade our seats to have the extra leg room, I didn’t want to end the holiday with a miserable experience. Stan to summarize: • Very happy with the level of service I received from you whilst booking the holiday. • The hotel was great, no complaints about anything. • Longwood – could have been better but again we were only there for a week and had a very relaxing time. • Monarch – will never fly with them again. Based on my experience I would be happy to recommend Viva Holidays to my friends and family. The trip was great. Cairo hotel was nice, but not near anything you would want to walk to, plus that is one dirty town. I wish I had requested one day to see the Museum and the Pyramids, then left. The guide we had for those trips was fantastic! I think her name was Allaa... she is assistant to the main Archeologist. The Nile River Cruise was great... Sharm El Sheikh was very nice. The hotel was 5 star, but being open just 4 months.. the service was 3 star, and it was 10 minute drive to anything. I am giving you all the little negatives, but believe me, we had a fantastic time, AND we will definitely use your services again.
